Today is my birthday. Woot. I celebrated by giving myself a four-day weekend. I spent most of the time sick in bed, though, so happy birthday to me. We went out for Indian and Mexican, and got Asian take-away. We also discovered that the Asian place now delivers. That is going to come in handy. The Raiders gave me a victory over the Broncos. They love me. I won a bet with my boss over that one. My darling wife bought for me an electric griddle. Now I can make grilled cheese for her.

As an aside, this flagging system LJ made is not a freedom of speech issue. LJ is not the government. LJ is not bound by the Bill of Rights with respects to its subscribers. If LJ wants to force everyone to post in English and disallow the use of the letter "k," they can freely do so. It would suck and they would lose most of their subscribers, but they can do it if they want. I personally think the flagging system is going to suck and that LJ is making another mistake. You can protest, write letters, flee to deadjournal, or whatever, but stop crying "free speech," because it doesn't apply here.

And it's not supposed to be 70°F the day before my birthday. Send birthday pictures to make it better.

Love,

Billy

K, I've come across a sitution that I can't figure out. [info]ninvampiress bought me a shirt that fits nicely, but is 100% cotton, so it won't fit for long. I mentioned this, and now I'm in trouble. What did I do wrong, and what should I have done?

I managed to break two computers today. Somehow. They just magically stopped working as far as I can tell. The one I have left has a bad harddrive in it, too. Wee. Bring me computers. :)

My mommy loves me. She bought me an airconditioner. I'll go lie in front of it naked now.

My flatmate hearts me. He brought me things from his recent vacation, including two pounds of pistachios, some cactus and jalapeno jellies, some Dumb Ass hot sauce, and some garlic and jalapeno/habanero stuffed olives (jar of each). His fucking plane was two hours late. So I bought The Time Machine and read it. He spent his delay getting drunk in the Phoenix airport. I woke up entirely too early today, so I guess I'll force myself to tidy up the place as I've been meaning to do for, oh, two weeks...

02:41 pm - sometimes it's hard to be a woman
Occasionally random acts of generosity pay off. I was just at Wal-Mart, buying a shitload of things, including a couple of DVDs, of which Dogma is one. In line behind me was an employee, on break, buying some marked down Easter candy. We were chatting about her dorky Fuji film key ring. When my stuff got rung up, she said "oh, hey, you forgot to ring up this" to the clerk. I said, "sure, why not?" and bought her $1.05 in chocolate. She then used her discount card to save me approximately $17.

So, anyway, be nice to people. Sometimes you can make a profit from it. ;)

12:57 pm - Presents!
My mom sent me a box of presents for "christmas." Justified by the fact
that I am not religious and don't celebrate Christmas as such, I tore into
them five days early. The contents were as follows: vibrating mouse,
twine ball with rattle inside (both for the cats), nine piece heavy duty
stainless steel cooking utensil set, 14 piece knife set with storage
block, two dipping oils (one oil, garlic and spice, the other balsamic
vinegar, oil, and spice), some pictures I took at the Huntsville, Alabama
space center thingy when I was in 6th grade and she just now got
developed, homemade fudge, homemade chocolate chip cookies, and a Thai
cook book.
